This website is about my work in music, and my writing on literary history and theory.
I am a pianist and composer based in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and Chicago, IL. I perform regularly at venues in both cities and collaborate with a wide variety of area musicians.
As a writer, I have published essays about sixteenth-century English poetry and drama, including Edmund Spenser, Mary Wroth, and William Shakespeare. My book, What Rosalind Likes, an origin story of English poetry and a biography of a fictional character across works by three authors from 1579–1600, has recently been published by Oxford University Press.
